Trinity Ecumenical Parish is affiliated with the Episcopal Church, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and the Presbyterian Church USA. We welcome Christians from many other backgrounds as well. We look for God at work in every person and we are committed to respecting and understanding one another. We seek to walk side by side as we follow Jesus Christ and serve all people in Christ's name.

Our Mission

We believe that God has called Trinity Ecumenical Parish into being in order to show the world that followers of Jesus Christ can come together from many backgrounds, forming a faith community where diversity is accepted and differences are not allowed to divide us. We are loving, serving, learning, and growing together as we fulfill our common calling to care for our neighbors, our community and the world in the name of Jesus Christ.

Sunday Worship

8:00 a.m. - This service offers a simple ecumenical liturgy with Holy Communion every Sunday.

10:30 a.m. - This service uses the worship formats of the Episcopal, Lutheran, and Presbyterian traditions rotating on a monthly basis. Holy Communion is served on the first Sunday of the month during special worship services.

A Children's Moment is offered at both services.

Adult education classes meet at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday.

Announcements / Events / Calendar

New Members will be welcomed on Sunday, November 12. The Harvest Dinner will be held following the 10:30 worship.

Congregation meetings for each of the three denominations will be held on November 19 between the worship services.

"Living the Nativity" will be held on December 1, 4-8 pm and December 2, 3-8 pm.  Come journey to Bethlehem and encounter shepherds, soldiers, market sellers, and finally the Christ child. This interactive story of Jesus' birth if free and open to the public.

The Parish Annual meeting will be held on December 3 between the worship services.

Location and Office Hours

Trinity Ecumenical Parish is located at Smith Mountain Lake in Franklin County. The church is visible from Route 122, The Booker T. Washington Highway, one mile southwest of the Halesford Bridge.
